Finally found this clue in a book about building the National Cathedral - For Thy Great Glory, published in 1965!, before the big final push that completed the cathedral in 1990. Published before the Space Window was conceived and commissioned. No sign of this statue anywhere on the internet, under any search engine.
Saint Patrick showing up here ties together the whole cosmic void scroll puzzle. He is holding a Celtic cross - and that is the key for the fourth lock in the four lock gate.
I can't find this cross described, and Celtic crosses are usually depicted differently ... but we can move on in the game. Would be good to find where in the National Cathedral the Saint's statue is, exactly. The book describes it being "a niche sculpture above an archway on the south wall of the Nave" - which is a good plausible start, but leaves a lot of area to be determined.
WoW accepts the four keys, and moves smoothly further into the game - at last!
This is Amenemhat III's Pyramidion - a twelfth dynasty Pharaoh. The east side of the pyramidion had extra special iconography, the other three sides were left plain:
The bottom of the pyramidion is channeled to snugly fit on top of the main pyramid. The pointy top is well preserved - and we see that the infinite regression of constantly replacing the top of each pyramidion-let with smaller and more precious replicas is not carried out here. Perhaps because the big A did not settle with this pyramid - the pyramid had groundwater and structural problems, so the pharaoh moved on to build another one on a better foundation. May be why this pyramidion survived in as good a shape as it is - it was put in storage as the building focus moved on.
The experts have noticed that Akhenaten's religious police did swoop down and edit this pyramidion - Amenemhat's name contains a reference to the god "Amen", which was not allowed to stand during the terror regime of the apostate 18th dynasty pharaoh. You can see the symbol blurred and scrubbed in the cartouche on the left.
After this momentary glimpse of a pyramidion to reassure us that we are on the right track, we are led to the next puzzle setup. Next time ...
