To Grunt and Sweat Under a Weary Life

A graphic used in The Undiscovered Country topic - too good to not front its own topic eventually.

While we consider the Moon and its innards ... I may have been misleading analysis when I first set up the 'Pyramidion' topic here in the blog on May 2021. The Pyramidion graphic is on the bonus disk label and the instructions, but does not actually come up when you first enter that new section of the game. If you were to be so presumptuous as to hack into the game you would find three graphics that have not occurred in the game yet - including the Pyramidion graphic.

Two of the unencountered graphics seem to be illustrative, without obvious active element candidates. The third graphic is quite another story.

On another topic, the Fibonacci puzzle clue, "the knowledge you seek is in the wisdom you have abandoned" leads me to wonder about two points in the game. The very beginning page has the hand pointing to the nickel button:

And the "Wisdom" disk has the 'hand with nickel' as its illustration. Is this a clue?

One more nudge after we select the nickel ...

Alternatively ... The "Gateway" graphic has the legend:

Select Wisely to Enter

that keeps reminding me of The Lord of the Rings - the "Speak Friend and Enter" episode. Are we being coached to click "Wisely" here? - except that doesn't work. Maybe we need to know about a special switchology, some sort of 'pat your head while you rub your tummy' kind of thing?

I slightly favor this page because of the clue "all paths lead from the gateway".

One more thing we may be able to get from hacking the game - there are two "go to 'Selections F'" branches off the 'Lotus Jukebox' Hypercard script - one for the expected selection into that new part of the game, and a second one that I can't quite see what leads up to it, or where it goes (it IS titled "to the spiral journey...") So we have good reason to suspect that there is a hidden access to Pyramidion content from a card headed 'Lotus Jukebox'.
