Stargirl
When we select the Lotus panel on the Cosmic Void Jukebox, we start a sequence fronted by this formidable woman, brought to us by Alex Grey from his Sophia portrait. She does look Cosmic and ethereal, doesn't she? But she has been skillfully and cunningly cropped ...
Here is a more complete view of the original picture - she can be more fittingly described as Eyegirl! And the placement of some of those eyes are - disturbing.
I remember my first Halloween at my big zoo university, high up in the Appalachian mountains. One of the guests, who was a theater major, came dressed just in trousers and shoes, and a paper bag over his head. He had drawn a face on his torso, with big, staring eyes placed right around his nipples. You just couldn't keep your eyes off him (and off a certain part of his anatomy). Didn't help that he was a typical corn fed resident, with ample extra flesh.
After about an hour, he apparently got tired of too much attention, and changed into his regular clothes.
"Theater major". "Too much attention". Let me rephrase that - it was a typical chilly fall night in the highlands - he was chilled after an hour, and needed to warm up.
But Roger's picture editing wanted her to get just enough attention, not too much. It will not distract from the devastating clue coming up. Next time.
