The Ancient of Days

When you select the ZBS button, Roger presents us with the Blake etching from Europe a Prophesy, 'The Ancient of Days'. This is one of Blake's favorite images, and he created many copies. Urizen here is the avatar of law and reason in Blake's mythology, and this image is inspired by a verse from the Book of Proverbs: "when he set a compass upon the face of the earth."

The 5 vents on the space jukebox let you make the main puzzle selections. 4 of the vents select the 4 puzzles that solve for the keys to the four lock gate. The four lock gate comes up when you select the middle vent.

Blake's drawings and sketches show that he has profound command of subtle expressions - but when he is etching, there is a naive power to the design. And his color choice is superb. There are 9 known original copies left of this book - even more rare than the Whirlitzer of Wisdom game, itself!

Here Blake is mean to my hero, Newton! - he admires the mental power and scope of Newton (who probably was not quite so heroically developed, he was a library and lab guy), but feels he squanders his power on a febrile concentration on trivial matters. Blake finds another way to make dividers a focus of his composition.

And of course, the tasty drawing from Red Dragon, 'the Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed in Sun'. Notice the extra figure in the drawing that escapes attention in the movie. The fiery aspect should have lent it to be featured at some point in the drama.

Roger did not include any new sounds on the Pyramidion disk, but he did include a new graphic to come up when he is blocking some hacking attempts! - just in case anyone is tempted.
