Beale's Treasure
Halfway through the game! Maybe we've done the long half. And also the easy half.
Now we select the throat chakra, and we get to find out about Beale's treasure. In 1817, Thomas Jefferson Beale killed someone in a duel - over a woman. Beale had to leave Virginia in a hurry as a wanted murderer and went adventuring out west. He found a large gold strike near Santa Fe.
Beale was supposed to have returned to Virginia in 1822 and to have buried a large treasure somewhere in Virginia, staging an eventual permanent return to Virginia (apparently, money could make a lot of things happen, even in those days.) He left some personal effects with an acquaintance and vanished. Many years later, when Beale never returned, the acquaintance went through the media and found three ciphers. In the course of several years, one of the ciphers was decrypted:
